I'm not sure it is the one you mentioned. See if you can get plants.usda.gov/plantguide/pdf/cs_assy.pdf
This should give you more information than you want!!
Asclepias syriaca is the latin name of this variety. Verena says she never heard of it in Europe. But, who knows? Monarch butterflies are dependent on it for food. They migrate thousands of miles every year to Mexico to overwinter.

Yes sure. It is a gentiana (genziana asclepiadea we call it) not difficult to meet in our mountains. I never noticed the nice seeds. Thanks for sharing Greg.
