Oh how sweet Doyle being inspired by fairy tales;-) I also read "Tornerose"(In English?) as a child about the bush that grew up around her castle for hundred years - well maybe sliiiightly different approach but still...hehe

No, they're NOT civilized NOR are they in pots . . . Marlyce plants them and the little one that started at a few centimeters is now as tall as the house and many meters around! It does stop people from trespassing though! :P
Myself, I put the rosebushes under the windows. It stops people from coming in the windows and children from climbing out! Heheheheee.

Oh yes, I saw those cactus/cacti that are eatable. Have you tasted them? Lights on a cactus at home? You have also those ones growing in California, or is it just a "civilized" one in a pot?hehe

Hey Annemette . . . you should have brought some cactus home with you! Did you? Quite a change of pace for you guys I'd imagine. The flat Prickly Pears . . . (Look like elephant ears) grow fruit and are edible too. The tall one is the one you push the bad guys into (ouch)! Looks like the scene might have looked 100 years ago . . . nice! By the way, Marlyce hung all kinds of Christmas lights on her cactus . . . maybe after the Tahoe pics she'll post that . . . proving I'm not the ONLY lunatic here in So Cal!
