Oh yes what a shot! Being raised among newfoundlands my heart always gets soft when seing one, be it in real life or on pictures:-)Thank you so much for sharing. IŽll pass it on to my mother and bigbrother that will love this, too!
Yes, he was waiting for me;-), but as humans we often put human feelings in the animals which they in one way benefit from, but in some cases it gets far too much. The respect for the animal as not-human is important if we are supposed to live together in a decent way.

This is a beautiful B&W portrait of a proud animal. You did a very nice job with the composition, capturing his longing for the sea, or maybe just patiently waiting for his master?
