Hi Arthur, thanks for your comment.

In answer to your question I was about five feet away from this owl, it was being cared for at a rescue center so had got used to people being close. It’s good to know that these lovely creatures are cared for and then released once they are fit enough to fend for themselves.

The G6 is my favourite camera, I prefere it over my Digital SLR, and it fits in my pocket. :)

What a great shot, especially with the G6. Were you that close? The closest I have been able to get to a snowy owl is about 50 feet. Well done.
