Heheheheee . . . I DO understand . . . a mother . . . or maybe a lil lass with her own beak wattle and colors might think he looks good too! In this species, the males and females look the same. Thanks very much dear Nessa!

Thanks Ola . . . no problem here . . . the growth is common on vultures (and ALL King Vultures) and is called a wattle. This guy is 100% healthy!

Thanks Joe . . . a difficult shot to be sure. I find the 'ugly' look common to ALL vultures . . . but there IS a purpose to the lack of feathers . . . and skin on the head . . . a bit gross, but this bird eats dead animals and has a beak strong enough to cut through heavy hides . . . :)

Excellent work with the DOF. Perfectly exposed.
Looks like this guy needs to have that growth taken off. Excellent focus!

Great portrait of vulture. But what happened in his beak. Is it normal? Or kind of tumor????

He had you in his sights. I think he's kind of ugly with that growth above his beak. Another great shot Doyle. You've got sharp focus on his eyes where it should be, good light and nice bg.
All the best, Joe
