Today was my lucky day! I wanted a D70s but somehow I missed the memo that the D70s AND the D50 were being discontinued. When I checked online most of the sites didn't even have it listed anymore. I found a place here in Ottawa that had one D50 left. I had them put it on hold and went to pick it up. Needless to say I got a great deal and I am really happy.
This is sort of a test shot. It's of my make-up bag and the bright orange is what attracted me to taking this shot.
p.s. Is there any way I can use the portrait/macro settings without flash? I read the manual but now I forget...
Oh, I love this camera. You turn the flash on and off with the left front button (left side of lens) . . . hold it and turn the selection wheel . . . looking in the display. You will be very happy with this camera . . . I'm still using it myself! This shot has great color but certainly could have been a tad sharper (IMO) . . . be cautious to hold REAL steady . . . maybe even brace yourself on macro since the shutter speed is a tad slower and it's MORE sensitive to any motion. On the sport setting . . . it's VERY forgiving! :)
Hi Carlen, congratulations with your new camera. I do have a Canon Eos so I can't help you with that question. Hope someone replies to give you some advice. Lots of luck and pleasure with the camera, take care,
