Joggie,
The colours and textures in this photo are amazing! The composition is very strong, IMHO, such that everything in the photo draws you right to the tree remains. The terrain in the background slopes down toward the tree remains. The live tree on the right pulls you to the bush, then to the tree remains. The small intrusion of green and wood on the left leads you back toward the tree remains. A great central focus. Added to my favs. Well done!

Outstanding composition and a very good idea by including this small dune strip as background and keeping thereby the same tones as in the foreground.

A splendid intuition Joggie. The huge foreground distorts the proportions.The young tree seems even smaller and the desert more desolate. Very nice the stripes of colours. Beautiful image!
