Hehe. If I took down every picture that no one commented on...

Keep it going.

M.G. I like this one, so "unposed" with all your juggling friends there must be other shot that are worth posting! Painter Clint

First, ignore anyone who wants you to hurry up. It's worth taking the time to get the better shot. It took me a long time to stop feeling self-conscious when I took photos. (especially now that I've got a very visible DSLR) But I think as long as you're not directly pointing it at one person where they realize hey this person's taking a pic of me, no one cares. In public events like this one it's easy to blend in. In fact, I tend to drag my camera along simply to keep me entertained. =P

2nd, is this is a huge site. Just because your photos don't have comments or views doesn't mean they aren't good. It means that no one's had a chance to view them. If you comment on other people's photos they will go to yours and your views and comments will increase.

Also, find some portfolios that you like and comment regularly on them. Get to know the person and eventually you will have made a friend who will also comment on your photos. (most of the time people will return the favour) People will see your name in comment threads and click from there too.

Hope that helps.

Thank you SO MUCH Carlen for commenting! My worst fear is to be ignored, no views & no comments. I can take constructive criticism, love it, it's the " this isn't even worth looking past the thumbnail" that I hate. I got luck with the one as the main subject was distracting enough that no one looks at the camera. So often I am to slow getting the composition right that the people are looking at me like "well take the picture". Or I rush & it's blurry. I'll keep trying! Thanks!

HI Sis (Melinda)
Great old Irish couple just in the park enjoying the games, so glad they didn't see metaking the picture.
The Parade through town of 1,200 jugglers got them to fallow us to the park & see what we'd de next! The extra photo is of jugglers balancing a juggling club with a very full pint of Guinness on top of that. Yes they drank them I just can't remember how!

I don't usually shoot people either, but practice makes perfect! Posting your photos IS brave because you're showing your perspective and awaiting judgement. I doubt myself constantly but I've realized that the photos I tend to least like others love! So don't be afraid to upload anything. The worst thing that will happen is you will receive some constructive criticism, which will only help you improve in the future.

That said, I think this photo is a barrel of laughs and you should keep shooting people.

I know where you would find the juggler, but where did you find this old couple?

Thanks SO MUCH for commenting I was going to take it down this morning if no one had even looked. But you even took the time to say something!!!!! OK, as you can tell I am a bit....anyway. If you had a chance to look around my portfolio you'd see I don't shot people! will I do for myself mind you, the guy on the grass was at a convention & I meet him so I got this candid shot, but I never show them. There is one photo of Steve Gerdes my husband (also on usefilm) that I have here but no one looks at really. I usual wait to long to take the photo & the "spark" is gone. Your photos look great! People & animals move, objects don't just the lighting get tricky. Easy way out?
Thanks again! MG
