This is a truly lovely, and loving portrait. The composition is great. I adore the expressions on the subjects' faces. The only change I would consider would be to alter the contrast a bit so that there is not so great an expanse very light tones. I've attached an example of how I would change the photo.

Hi April. This is a really nice image. IMHO, I prefer to have the subjects looking right at you in a closeup image such as this. It's still fine like you have it. I just would want to be more engaged with them. It may be my monitor but her hair seems to have lost some details in the shadows. Maybe by bringing up the midtones would help. Hope this was helpful. It has a nice framing of them.
