I have never printed my photos yet because i mostly use the images to paint paintings. But then my paintings are averaging in size of around 4'X 5'. Because of the paintings, i get a sense of what would look good in large format visually. I have had Giclée prints done of my paintings though and the ability to do a great job at a large size these days is out there. And for just a few hundred dollars depending on the size.

The best print size I can do is 13x19 inches. I usually print to Hahnemuehle Art Paper (German Etching) or to Ilford Clasic Pearl for my own use. I have not attempted to contract out for a 30x40, about $100 for Art Paper. It is tempting, however. Tim, do you do large format printing?

This is a great collection of floral/spring imagery. the resolution here is incredible. I could imagine this as a large print in a living room....ohhh...man that would be just great!...Ever try a Giclée print? you can make huge ones on canvas or paper with super quality.
