Dear Shelby, feet are our nomadic roots on earth. Your picture is brilliant in its austerity. Great composition, lightening and texture. Suddenly your childpictures make me think about Janus Korczak. He was a revolutionairy Polish educationalist. Actually a pioneer on the human rights of children.

I agree with you, I think feet can be expressive. I like the dramatic lighting and the desaturated colors. The soft texture of the toes contrast with the roughness of the ground.
