About Like this photo, however not so sure about the part of the groyne in the bottom of the shot... have uploaded another photo in comments showing the second version.

Thinking of entering one of these into a competition... would appreciate advise on which on works best :)

Thank you all
Hope you're well & bright x

Thank you Dave... though think I like other Dave's (Dixon) idea to keep the bottom in as a stop & lighten up the darker right hand side :)
(He attached an edited version to see) Still have not completely decided but think Dave is right about the bottom bit marking the end of the photo :)

Thank you for your oppinion on this one.. always greatly appreciated :)

Hope you are keeping well & bright x

There is a lt of black on there, so I'd normally have suggested going for the version with the least black, like the others have so far.
However, I think the original version works better because of the way that the dark area in the bottom left helps to frame the shot.
As an experiment I tried editing this a bit, and tweaked the curve for the bottom right-hand side to bring out a bit more brightness where there's detail to be had.....

I like the vertical orientation and composition in this one, Sue! It gives the whole scene a little different perspective. I think I like the second one slightly better.

The second version may be best since there is so much black at the bottom in both. I love them both, though!:)

Second version, cropped to remove bottom part of the groyne :)
