sicuramente un soggetto non facile: le condizioni di luce, i petali quasi trasparenti, poco contrasto nei fiori.
nonostante questo, devo dirti - e prendilo come un complimento - che ci hai abituati a di meglio; almeno questa è la mia impressione... e mi sembrava corretto dirtelo, scusa.

You managed an excellent shot of azaleas, Giuseppe, and what's more...red azaleas, which are difficult to capture. Azaleas are a joy to watch in reality - especialy when in fields - but when it comes to photos....I rarely saw something to sasisfy me and I rarely managed to shoot something satisfactory myself. You managed here a pair of soft luscious flowers which look as if painted! Real beautiful!My compliments!

Bill, this WAS a red blob! Shot at the end of the sunset the red tonalities doubled there intensity. I can only write what I did, with Curves. In fact it is what I always do for all "developments" becouse in this way at the same time I set both lights and colors. Often it is the only think I do in post-process, with a final sharpening.
- In Image-Adjustement-Treshold I set the black and white points > looking at Info, with Image-Adjustement-Curves using the eyedropper black and whith I click on the two points created with Treshold. In the Info all the colors channels show 255 in the white and 0 in the black. These are the neutral colors, without any casting. Your red would be no more a blob. But at this point very often lights and colors are not what you want. Here is the more difficult but most amusing and creative step. For each color channel you must try and see: mouve a little up and down the top of the diagonal for changing the high tones of the color and do the same at the bottom for the dark tones. Then try to mouve the centre for the midtones. Fix what you like, re-adjusting the other channels when you change a color. Whith a bit of experience it is easy and creative. It gives a great flexibility and the chance of making the photo you want.

Beautiful bouquet Giuseppe! The colors are amazingly soft but very much detailed. I wish I could take pictures of red or pink flowers. It seems the color controls in the camera really overload and cause a red "blob" instead of a flower! Any suggestions? Again a beautiful rendition of the azalea...Well done! Regards--Bill Voizin
