About I fought with this photo for a couple of years after first taking it...it was close to being good, but not quite there. Then came Photoshop and suddenly I could transpose the neg into Snakeman. Yes; that ol? Photoshop voodoo had caused SnakeMan to come alive. The most visible difference between the original wet darkroom print and this version is the crop. I have a saying; ?you live by the crop, you die by the crop?...in other words the cropped image is the first thing I notice when I look at a photo. If that crop is good then I?ll study the photo further. And SnakeMan?s crop is good, very good. After the crop came all sorts of other things...some of which, like the three eyes or the snakes head are quite interesting, but not really noticeable without an ordinary print there to compare with. Anyhow I?ve been working in Photoshop for about 8 months now. And the only negs I?m working on are negs 4 or so years old...they have come back to life as I look at them in a new manner thanks to the voodoo. I hope you like the shot...cheers...jim

Greatly composed and good work with light. I guess the snake was fully under control of the guy, but I would not have the courage to come so close to this strange animal ;-). Well done!
