Colin, I would suggest two things that would in my opinion improve this picture.
First up is the composition. While the Pyramid rock is not exactly in the centre, several components do look a bit middle-ish. The amount of space between the bottom edge and the bottom of the P. rock is the same as between the top of the rock and the top edge of the photo. Then there's the smaller rock below the P. rock, which is in the horizontal centre. The solution would be to either retake the picture from a different position, or try a different crop on the existing image.
Secondly, The P. rock looks unnaturally dark compared to the surroundings, as if there were two different sources of light. If this is the way it actually looks in reality, then never mind. But you mentioned that you did some PS work (with colours and light, I presume), so if you lightened up the water and the smaller rocks, perhaps you could have dodged the P. rock as well.
