Assynt and its huge loch is a huge desolate remote area with very little habitation. The scenery is on an open awesome scale with views across open heather, hill, mountain and sky for mile upon mile. Perched on a small isthmus in Loch Assynt sits the ruin of Ardvreck castle. I noticed rays of light punching holes in a heavy cloudbase and thought to myself that there might be a chance that one shaft of light might eventually illuminate the ruined castle making it the immediate focus of attention. Two hours later it happened and for thirty seconds light tracked across it. I managed three shots all slightly different I think this is my favourite.
