About No, I did not misspell "mourning". This image has an element of sorrow I feel... How do you feel about it?

An older shot, hand printed and hair sepia toned using cotton bud with sepia toner on it. It was quite subtle, especially after scanning the print. Reworked in PS: Crop and sepia enhanced.
I hope it looks OK on your screen. Looks fair enough on mine :)

Shot outdoors under natural overcast light.

Oh... I did "bump up" the sepia in PS as it did not scan well (the print) initially. Were you to see the actual print, this is pretty close to it... :)

Dear Bill!

I did precious little in PS... The Sepia hair was done by way ofr al dark room sepia toning, using a cotton tip dipped in sepia toner...
PS work was from scanning print and bringing the lily a little sharper into fous.
I so enjoy the "old fashioned ways"... lol...

Appreciation, thanks, gratitude, my good friend!
Aniko :)

One of my favorits, Aniko!
The model/ the look, the light, the crop and of course the lily: It creates that special work!
All the best, Frank

My Dear Biljana...

I never did find out why she is so sad (in this particular image).

I can only say this:
Perhaps it is because she is human?
And further:
The camera captures split seconds in what we call "time"...

Loving Hugs and Appreciation,
Aniko :)

Thank you my Dear Srna!

Indeed, sorrow is part of Life just as Joy is!

I am not so sad... you know me by now... I can be laughing one minute and crying the next... not always tears of pain either! :) :) :)

Yes... the sun WILL shine... rather soon here... lol... nearly sunrise! :)

Thank you for the depth of your words which I know come from your heart. And I am pleased you find this image artistic! Thank you...

Much Love and Warm Hugs~
Aniko :)

Sorrow Aniko ... it is natural feeling and sooner or later every one of us has to go through all kinds of sorrow ... but I do think that we are much stronger after that ... we have to realise our pain and to realife it out of us, not to keep it in us ... this is the better way for sure.
And after the sorrow comes the Sun again my dear ... conversation or going out and take a good long breath of the air ...
Your work here is so very emotive and ofcourse artistic, love her expression, slight saturation, lily as a symbol infront of her ....
Fine portrait and work and provocative for mind thinking :)
Love
Srna

Thank you Dear Shirley!

I admit, I was curious as to how you would feel about this one, and also the latest post of a portrait of a young girl that I "messed around with" rather a lot in PS...

How I wish I could see things as you do on your screen! (or rather.. I wish you could see things as I do on mine... lol!)

You are kind Shirley, and I appreciate your comments always.

Hugs to you~
Aniko :)

Thank you Yazeed my friend.

I am reworking older images as currently I have no access to a digital camera...(I borrow from a friend)... and I am currently too impatient to use a film camera at the moment. Over the Easter period, no labs are open, and I rarely work in my darkromm processing my own film any more.

I am happy you like this image.

Warmest Wishes to You,
Aniko :)

Thank you for your kind words Guy :)

I must say that in fact the method I used is not desaturation. The original is an old black and white print film image which I scanned. I then "coloured" her hair in PS :)

Again, Warm Thanks!
Aniko:)
