Hello Virgis- good to hear from you:-) THanks for your kind words. I got a new camera which has meant a lot to me making me able to take some of the photos that I couldn´t take earlier. Still I also use my "old" compact camera once in a while. This one was taken with the old cam. Take care and see you around

Yes, we build new homes and firms, but many of us crave for the patina that shows lifespand in a very solid way. Most of us also feel more comfortable in an old café rather in a fancy new café with mirrors all over the place and slimlined furniture. Hopefully this appreciation will make us reuse things instead of just throwing them away. Thanks for commenting, Andre

Ah nice thinking as always! I´m very fascinated by old maps, and I see what you mean. It appears as an ancient map contra a satelitephoto of a part of the Earth almost;-) Old and new.

Hi Annemette, It takes years and years of wear and weather to create that kind of texture. It is kind of hard to explain why age patina is so attractive to our human imagination. We only know that we stop to look and feel something. Old boats, cars, buildings, painted windows and doors, all get our emotions flowing. Andre

Very interesting as I see an old wall to the left with the chips, and cracks, different tones, and textures, but then on the right side I see the SEA - just wild and stormy - with the lovely colors making a very interesting image I enjoy looking at very much dear Annemette.
Best wishes, Michele~

Makes me think of an ancient map, edges, charred by the ships tallow candles, being held by a long ago sailor as he looks out over the sea...:)))
Extra nice abstract dear Annemette...:)))
