About This was shot with a Canon PowerShot G3 using the Adapter Ring, Circular Polarizer and 1.75x Teleconverter. It was taken at the Louisville Zoo on Derby Day 2003, first Saturday in May in Kentucky. Only changes are in straightning horizon by 3 degrees and resizing the photo.

I agree with Bob - the contrast, colours, etc. are all very nice, but in a landscape image they can hardly be a purpose in themselves. The image tells me what the weather was like on that particular day, but nothing else. Basically this scene is a backdrop; now all you have to do is find something in the foreground (or in the sky) for it to be a backdrop to.

I came across a landscape image today with a similar sky-to-foreground ratio as you have here. It nicely illustrates some of what I mean, perhaps you will find it interesting. http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=130323

Colour is great, but IMO this image would have been helped by a GND to bring out the tree detail and color a bit.

More importantly, I agree that as appealing as the color is, I find no subject of interest that grabs my eye and holds it. A focus point.

It appears this was indeed a beautiful day - the green trees and wonderful sky. I think the composition would have benefitted, however, if you had something in the foreground to provide a focal point and greater feeling of depth.
