Bill: Apparently they do occasionally get up to MI. They generally are seen in the southern midwest and points south. We don't get them in CO that much either. Occasional only. Thanks a lot for your comments.

Another outstanding capture Fred. I don't think we get these here but the Baltimore Orioles love the oranges here. Beautiful bird and I love the color and the DOF. Bill

Jim: He was fairly calm about my watching him although I had to wait for a few minutes standing very still to entice him in. The 500 works exceedingly well with the teleconverters from Canon. Thank you again for your gracious remarks.

Ooh, another crisp one! That lens and tele extender really do a nice job. You must have had a lot of patience to capture these critters. Nice work indeed.
