About On the last day in Patagonia, the storms were brewing but we were not going to wait and see what happens next! we were flying out that day in fact, an hour from the time this shot was taken. The drama was at hand, and we put our preflight time to good use by driving around the vast Patagonia landscape. Following the holes in the sky that left these luminous patches of dappled light throughout the valley, that we happened to be exploring.

yes well it was either a bit of burn or everything else would be totally black. and that was with a 2 stop ND filter as well.

Beautifully conceived at the right time, Tim. My first thought was that the hole was a bit too burned out, but I changed my mind. The light on the peaks is exquisite!
