this is a subject that we can discuss forever. The difference in prosperity between the western world and countries like in africa is so huge, that every help is too little. But it is nice to see that you really have helped individuals. It is always better then doing nothing. All the best, Marco.

I´m glad you like it, Marco. Yes, in one way we´re indifferent and in another way we do support people with many money and feel their heartache. In everydaylife it hurts too much to take all this suffering in - who can live on knowing that there are people starving, dying from curable diseases, that children are born to a life in poverty, humiliation, abuse and so forth- the list is endless and unbearable. Yes, the only way is to release the worldtrade - I agree. That provides the poor countries with the possibility to rise up on their own. Not only a human´s selfrespect, but also a nation´s selfrespect and integrity means a lot in regards of the future. Endless sums of money are stolen by corrupt leaders that don´t care about their people, and lack of education makes it hard to change the situation in so many ways. Of course the situation has also been rough back in time before the medias were able to spread news instantly all over the world. Still we shouldn´t accept that there is suffering of this kind when we can act and do little and sometimes much. Yes, supporting people to start a local business that makes sense to them (and maybe not to us) is a good way to improve people´s lives. I´ve donated some goats and chickens and medicine to single mothers in Africa which also makes a huge difference in their lives. Their entire standard of living raises. Oh I could go on for hours because there are so many different aspects of this to be taken into consideration and I don´t know them all, but such an important issue. Humanity only makes sense if we don´t care only about our family and friends but also reach out to our fellow planetinhabitants. Take care

wow, that is a great idea. I think we (in the rich countries) are often much too indifferent from what happens elsewhere in the world. Though it is not always good to help the countries as a whole, it is much better to help the individuals. I think the idea of 'microcredit', giving people small amounts of money, to open their own shop or business, is to be embraced in stead of the usual aid in development western countries are giving to the third world countries. Still it is a shame that money to those countries is still needed, when we do everything to prevent those countries to trade with europe or usa, and thus make their own income. But luckily that is changing slowly, now for instance the borders to former east-european countries are opened for trade openly... and campagnes like the one you are participating in of course help too. All the best, Marco.

Dear Marco I wrote an idea about two 10 year old boys sitting in each their corner of the world, one eating one bag of chips after the other getting more and more chubby while a thin black boy in the other end has only a small bag of rice that shrinks as fast as the other boys eats his chips. The boy with the chips finnally gets ill because of his fat and the other boy gets ill due to his hunger. They lie on the ground. Then appears a computerscreen in the middle while an ambulancesirene is being heard and the link www.engodsag.dk appears. (A good cause) Then both boys slowly turn to normal size as the food and chips are being reduced and the bag of rice is being filled up. They kick each their ball to each other that become one that flies out towards the spectator while my slogan says: Click yourself to life - it´s for free.
I also made an idea for them at the computer where there is an ikon to be pushed when people upload the donationprogram. Then pops up a black boy from the ground getting healthy and happy dancing while the slogan passes on the monitor: Click yourself to life- it´s for free on www.engodsag.dk
The reason I made the ideas this way is that people need to see something that they can relate to here and now. Many of us feel guilty when eating a bag of candy and this is a good way to emphasize this feeling. Humour is important - at least in Denmark. The slogan needed to be sth. that people remember and sth. that really hits people. Who doesn´t want to save lives and even do if for free?! This program is one to upload and then everytime one buys sth. on the internet from the companies that have joined this charityprogram they are obliged to pay a certain amount to charity. Lots of money have already been raised this way. The companies get a political correct profile and the customers feel good about themselves for helping this way. I hope this helped, Marco. Somewhat difficult to explain it to you in English, but I think you know have an idea about what it is:-) I have the chance of winning money, 600 dollars as the least amount going up to great amounts. Take care

Dearest Marian- I just read your words. How awful an scarry for you knowing that someone has been breaking into your home, the one place where you and your family should indeed feel safe all the time. I get goosebumps just by the thought of your son sleeping upstairs. No matter his age it´s the worst nightmare for all parents feeling that their child is or has been in danger. You should get a big gentle dog like mine. The size alone scares uninvited people away, and although he´s gentle, he still watches out for us and our home. A natural instinct in most dogs. I know many stories about newfoundlands guarding thiefs at home until the owners came home, even a chimneysweeper got stuck one place where he knew the dog and was welcomed in, but because the owner wasn´t in the house, the dog didn´t let him go again;-) Dogs or no dogs- let´s hope that this will be the only time for you ever to experience this and I also hope that you´ll not be affected by it for too long, but will let your happy soul take over. Take very much care of yourself and your family, and by the way thanks a million for your vote, Marian!

I am sorry but I am a bit upset as they tried to rob my house... was out shopping and when I came back I found the lock on the floor and the door open...fortunately something must have scared them off as they did not take anything but a little handbag my husband uses sometimes and all he lost was his ID card.... they scary part for me was that my son was sleeping in the other room!!!! (he had been up late and was sleeping late as this happened between 11-12 in the morning!!!) hope I have helped!!! Marian

You´re such a sweetheart! Thank you, Marco!! I explained the concept in an earlier photo: I really need your help. I´ve been participating in a competition in the northern part of Europe involving companies and organisations that need a commercial-idea or film. I´ve written an idea for a charityorganisation that aid people in the third world by means of money and I was so fortunate to win:-) THis means that they of course will use my idea, people of the press and advertisingpeople will check me out and they´ll interview me at some time. No money ivolved but the honour. Now the winners from each firm are going to compete towards each other for a moneyprize, and the public is going to vote. That is unfair because it means that those who have most friends, colleagues and family has the biggest chance of winning instead of looking at the content. Still I must try to do what I can. Therefore I´m asking for your help. If you vote you have a chance to win a hotelstay and it´s free of charge to vote by email. Every vote counts, so if you can make friends or family vote, too that would be awesome. The link is: http://www.kortoggodt.info/2006/index.php?id=199
Scroll down and on the right side you´ll find my name(Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen) under the headline: For virksomheden En God Sag(A good cause) It says on the right: Email: "Klik her" which you push. Then simply write your emailadress and push "stem"= vote. I would be so very happy if you´ll vote for me. Sorry for this approach, but in this unfair game I also need to be creative like the other contestants.
Thanks again for your vote, Marco.

hey annemette, i voted for you, though i am curious what i have voted for... My danish is not what it used to be, so i didn't really understand a word you wrote. But since it is for a good cause, i think it is worthwhile to vote anyway. Hope you win, and do you go to the third world in case you win the hotelstay? By the way: good picture. Like how you have captured the bright moon. And the colors and composition are excellent, as always.
