About The old lie about the God that denied the huamn beings the apple of knowledge, but this time in a rather self-contradicting cynic way, since laser beams *do* demand the knowledge that they should prevent afterwards.

A fourfold exposure with one frame made with a slow shutter in order to catch the motion of the people towards the apple in a rather fatal way, and three additional exposures of lights in a train as the laser beams. All frames taken with considerable amount of soft focus because else the rather undefinable atmosphere of the self-contradiction would be weaker - for me at least.

I would be glad to read any comments.

I see what you mean, Andre! I think that there will be some more of this kind in the next days. Indeed they offer an easier "entrance" in the fields of interpretation.

best wishes,

Nick

Hi Nick,
Yes, I think this one has similar elements as the one you just posted with the clock. I think these images are very effective when the lines are simple and bold. At the same time, it really helps to have a recognizable subject as the main focus. The apple in this case...The clocks in the newer post.

Thank you so much for the nice, detailed comment, Andre, that really clarifies many things in my own mind about abstract work.

Indeed, I see now more clearly that kind of a multi-dimensinal aspect, in these photos. And it makes me wonder if it was a subconscious wish of mine... ???

Best wishes and thanks again,

Nick

I like the idea in this one Nick.

I know you have argued in the past that when creating abstracts, they shouldn't just be done without a plan because you could post anything and call it whatever you wanted to.

This one seems to have a purpose. So for that reason alone it is successful. I noticed the word "dimension" in one of your latest images. I think that multi-dimensional aspect also comes across in this image.
