Thanks Stan for checking out some of my older shots and the comments. Yes. I shoot most of my bird shots at ISO 400 using the 5D. I find that there is no discernible degradation of the image at that setting giving me a shutter speed which is usually high enough to essentially eliminate motion blur. The bird in this shot was actually quite far away, farther then the other shots. I believe this was close to a 1:1 crop. Regards, Joe

Great moment of the dinner bell. Love the wings spread and the fish on a platter for the Osprey. Do you shoot these at a 400 ISO or not? Great clarity from a distance. Be well, Stan

Joe,
It was my pleasure. You and Art were great company. It was the most productive day I've had this spring. I like the idea of getting together again. I would love to see some new areas around Perth. I hope to be out with my telescope this weekend, but maybe after that we can get together again.
Cheers,
Todd

Hi Todd, I agree we did well by the Ospreys. It was a fantastic day. I must thank you for your hospitality and for sharing your expertise in finding and shooting birds. You have some great areas to shoot birds. We should get together soon, possibly before the bugs get too bad. I would be pleased to show you around some sites in this area. Hope your weekend is going well. Joe

Thanks very much Robbie, He was eating when we arrived. We waited for quite a while for him to resume his meal but he all he did was stretch his wings which I caught in this shot. Hope your weekend is going well. Joe

This one is really nice too, both you and Todd have a couple of excellent shots, I'm really sorry I missed the afternoon session now. I like the catch in the claws, a real action shot. Pretty nice Joe.

Hi Joe,
WOW! You got some excellent shots from Friday. This pair of Osprey really put on a show for us, didn't they? Great details in the bird and fish. Your exposure and focus are excellent. It was a great day. Thanks for your company.
