I often complain that the Freestate is a dull and dreary part of South Africa. But when I page through the images on my computer, and find shots like these, then there must be some beauty in it. This particular shot was taken exactly a year ago. I remember this, because it was on our way back from my Mom's birthday, which is today, 7 May.

Baie mooi! (jou OOM hier ) Dit laat my dink aan my jonger dae in die Vrystaat;Toe het ek ook gedink dis n lelike plek.Nou dink ek anders.I like the harmony between the water and the sky;The horison and yellowish sky of dusk is a great barrier between the two.The colours are realy rich and the DOF is good. Well Done!
