This drew me in at first site. But, like most very good images, it's hard to critique. Not wanting to fall into mere formalisms, I'll try to list my impressions. The unexpected but very natural similarness of the aged paint and ancient language seems poetic. The feeling for me is of time and what was said.
I'ld respect your decisions but, miss your works.

*LOL* I see your point- well if a lice is romantic and sings about "take me to the moon and let me ride among the stars" then it suddenly gives the wrong associations. No Iīd better say goodnight now before becoming too crazy:-) Sleep tight and donīt dream about lice!

I don't know! That's why I want to watch the programme to find out! Are the little critters as romantic as Humph and Ingrid in 'Casablanca' or are they more 'wham bam thank you ma'am'?

*LOL* I love that title!! The S/M-lice on leatherheads could also work although not being as romantic, but is there really anything amourous about lice?!:-))

I believe it's on the Sky Headlice channel at 9pm... it's titled "L'amore and lice".

Hmm well the erotic preferences of headlice does indeed sound very interesting- on what channel is it?*LOL* Just kidding- there are so many photos being uploaded constantly, so itīs hard being noticed, Patrick. Nothingīs wrong with your suggestive and amazing photography. Keep it up.

You want a bet?! I put this up for about three hours earlier and there was about as much interest in it as a television programme about the sex lives of headlice. I have totally given up on Usefilm as a means of showing my work, but old habits die hard... to be honest the only reason I'm still putting anything up is for you, Claudia and Branimir.

Oh yes, I know that enthusiastic feeling when the right motive is there, and it also seems to turn out well while photographing it. This really is such a fine piece of photoartwork and one thatīs bound to receive more comments, Patrick.

Thanks, Annemette. This is one of my favourite photographs I've taken. I discovered an old railway bridge today on my endless walk around Oxford's backstreets and came across this. I was immediately struck by the similarities you noticed... I love taking a photograph that you just KNOW is really good.

THis is so amusing, Patrick:-) These Chineselooking signs could might as well have been the artisticlooking cracks in the wall for me who doesnīt know Chinese:-) Just excellent and very humouristic, at least to me.
