Excellent shot of this female Mallard Nicole. (do they call them that in New Zealand?) The female is often overlooked for the more colourful male. I love the feathers in this image.

Ducks ar e characters for sure BUT don't let Sam read this ...ha!!! Great shot of this character standing firmly planted with those feet in the wind-- bet he/she lost some feathers during this shoot -lol! Love the image Nicki--- especially the DOF in the top half of the image BG--- I don't know how to do that yet... so I am impressed and think it is very cool !!!
IMO this is defintiely a 7++++++++++++++++

I guess the old saying stand with the wind to your back doesn't work for ducks. :) Good shot Nicole, very well taken with sharp focus. I hope you don't mind but I think it looks a tad flat so adjusted the lighting and colour a bit in PS Elements. What do you think?
