Very nice colorful bird, I know what you mean about gettting a good shot on small birds, its really tough, exposure on them gets tough too especially if they are dark. This one turned out pretty good though. Best regards.

I can see his 'eye' Joe--- sorry about that- one of my lights above my monitor had gone out and put some kind of glare on it , altho the pc is gimping along ....
Other times I've been noticing slight problems so I immediately blamed the poor monitor- On second look after recieving your comment - I saw the eye:))
I do like your challenge- I'd enjoy it very much myself with a zoom lens- and as my skills improve.

Thanks very much Michele for your comments. I am surprised that you can not see his eye, on my monitor, I can clearly see his eye and the feathers on his head.
It's a challenge to try and capture all the different bird species. Glad you like them.

A beautiful image of another colorful bird Joe- can't quite make out his eye but his head is soo dark ... and he's such a quick mover it may not have been possible--- You mayb able to stat your own Bird book soon- You've gota great collection going !! It's a pleasure to view all these wonderful birds..
