About I shot this at f8 on a tripod
but still not sharp.What could be the causes?

"Maybe it depends on what you focused on - the camera needs good contrast in order to focus and there is not much with a white surface. Even with a tripod you can get camera shake. You must have a solid tripod - cheapish ones are useless" said Dave Deacon.

Add to that I think you should use a larger aperture (f=16 or 22) and a longer shutter time, because of the tripod. If your tripod isn't steady enough try using a remotecontrol. And if these are not available or to expensive try taking them by using the selftimer. With a selftimer is steadier then taking it by pushing the button.

In this photograph it doesn't matter to me because this is a dreamy shot...you watch it and get attracted by the center...dreamy...I like it very...keep it up!
