Fantastic again. The composition is top notch. The leading line of the fishing net (kathi jaal I guess?) really draws my eyes from one end to another through the diagonal. Colors of their Saris are also very contrasty. I am really missing West Bengal after seeing your photos Sir. Wonderful shot.

This is one of those photographs which is informative as well as beautiful. First it informs us about the way these fisherwomen get their catch and I must say that I find it fascinating...never seen such style of fishing before! On the other hand, as you say, so much of manpower (rather womenpower) is invested for so little catch! Then I love the colours of their dresses...it catches the eye instantly. It shows that India is all about colours and one can see that in all stratas of the society. But most importantly I love their formation, sort of closing in on their target! You've got an eye for good photographs and that shows. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful photograph.

I saw the thumbnail without the name, I knew it was your photo. A distinct style and location... Very colorful capture of these people at work. Interesting shot, well composed. Great shot Partha!
