About I originally posted a variation of this picture at http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1238519
I reworked the original into a different outcome with a different crop and contrast/curves treatment.
I love my daughter and son-in-law and the new project gave me an excuse to post another photo of them. Not sure I like this one as much as the original posting.
Lisa is 5' 2" and Joel is about 6' 5".

This is really really wonderful portrait of the couple John...saw both but I like this one more...I don't know why...though you've posted it with that project it mind but I really think that this is dramatic portrait. Look at their expressions...so very nice and moody! I learnt a lot from this one...a natural 7/7 from me

Mark -- Thanks so much for your comment. The curves adjustment command needs a very light touch unless you are going for heavy duty special effects.
A bit more of fooling around and you will master it.

Excellent composition. i love playing around with the curves. i find myself messing with them for an hour, then saying "what the hell am i doing to this picture!". you, on the other hand, know what you are doing with post production. nice work as always.

WOW, This is very artistic dear Jan,the low saturation has worked very well here and you know, there's some sort of performance here. It's not just an image. They've got a lot of chharacter in their faces. I really like your daughter and son-in-law. Jumps into my favorite.

Russ -- Thanks so much for the comments and I truly appreciate the comparison you provided me. It is especially hard to self-judge re-worked photos as you can wind up being less than objective on your own work.

Hi Jan. Prefer this take to the first one(it is not so tight at the bottom (crop). This image stands out to me, because of the low angle from which it was taken, gives a good sense of height. Both daughter and son-n-law make for excellent subjects here. I think because of the diffenrece in looks and especially the guy`s glasses, just seem to round this picture off.
Regards Russ :)

Excellent for the new project my dear Jan.
And this rework is as beautiful as was the original.
It is just different in contrast and curves ... but it is excellent done my dear friend and it adds a lot to their height difference, you did it right !!!!
