I hear ya there.
The problem that I have been having is all these areas are having major wildfires, so smoke becomes a visibility issue in the pictures!

I find that the first time I visit something, I get the best shots. Then I think I can do better. I go back and nothing, nada. Exception being night shots... must be a Murphy's law or something.

We must be of like mind as we both like this type of building.
I have revisited this site twice, and this is still the best photo I have been able to get.
On a side note, I found the home of this brilliant bright blue bird that I now visit on every pass!

Great old find... just the stuff I like to shoot. I like how you angled this so you can see right out the window on the back wall and gave a view of the meadow off the left.
Good job on the sepia toning, too.
