Cathy,
Glad you enjoy my work. To answer your questions, you will notice he has a black robe as well, indicating he is on the faculty and not a graduating senior. Probably there to assist a special needs student or prevent mayhem from breaking out. The loss of hair is probably from dealing with teenagers 9 months of the year, my couple of teens have done a number on my hairline as well, though not as severe.. more clumps of bare spots from occansional pulling my hair out.

I am disappointed too with quality, working with 300mm end of my zoom, with no tripod and had to go to 1600 ISO and still could only get 5.6 aperture and speed of 1/50 to 1/100 of second if I was lucky. Also wish I had taken another shot after the ceremonies began to get all the caps going in one direction... but alas I forgot.

Love this image! Time and again I am drawn to a thumbnail amongst a page of thumbnails, and it turns out to be you, Larry. Such uniformity, and then there is him. No mortar board and a different uniform. Makes one wonder what his story is. Does the stress of graduation make one in seven hundred loose their hair? Do you need hair to wear a mortar board? Still wonderin'......CC
