I was either wigged out when I commented on this or you added it to critique corner afterwards (?)
I don't feel entirely comfortable critquing an image/artwork such as this but I will mention the one thing that really, really struck me was how well the face blended in with the rest of the picture. I was expecting it to stick out like a sore thumb. Because it merged so naturally, rather than detracting, it increased the overall impact of the picture - to my eyes anyway.

The wings were inverted and converted to B&W then brightened considerably. I also used soft edges so things would blend. The model, my daughter, was also brightened and lightened and blended. Most of the work was done in Microsoft Picture It 2001, except for the inversion, which was done in MGI Photosuite III. I'm now working on a 'dark' version.
