I would have picked it up right away. I have a collection of bones and skulls that could have been much larger if my mother didn´t throw out my growing collection many years ago;-)

I'm glad you liked it, it kept me guessing and I was able to get right up to it! Didn't much fancy touching it though. I just wished I had a macro so I could have got in really close, that might have thrown up some really interesting images.

I think it´s wood although it looks very much like a skull due to some of the texture and the shape downwards...and then again hmmm fascinating find!
