I was trying to get the exposure right at the glass of whisky under the candle lights. This worked good enough for me, and the image turned good enough for posting, except for the overexposure at the candle light on the right.
Mahassa, thanks a buch for your comment and for the suggestion to put the light a bit further away. I didn't try that yet, as this series was intended as a coexistence of highlight and darkness quite near each other on the same photo. But it would be really interesting to try out your idea!
And since today is Monday, it is the best possible day for having a long photographic whisky night, in order to face the fact that the weekend is over! ;-) So let me see what I can do.

great lighting Nick, you're right about the over exposure but I think the whole result is very nice.....have you tried the same position but placing the candle a little bit farther? If you did let me know about the result too, please... best, mahassa
