This is so beautiful. I have hand raised two of these delightful creatures, it was the most amazing experience. What I love about this image is that I recognise the ecstasy that you have so expertly captured and identified. It is a wonderful feeling when you scratch a lorikeet's neck and it falls over in your hand-sheer ecstacy. Unfortunately the time I shared with these two birds was also the time I was recovering from the theft of all my camera equipment and I have no photographic record of their impact on my life. I might just borrow your image to spark my memories, if that is OK with you. A favourite. Beautiful. CC Oh, I just noticed I commented on this image in June! The real reason for this correspondance is to tell you that on the night your image would not download, I discovered later than NO usefilm images were getting through-maybe a site problem, which is now resolved. Well captured! It is not easy to get these pesky birds on "film". I have raised two of these delightful animals and have never succeeded in photographing them this well. They are both really enjoying this preening experience. It warms my heart. CC
