You are right Dave.... the sun was just behind this windcatcher... The colors don't show because of this...
It is really a turqouise AND You are also right again... This image is made to be vertical...but I too found it much more interesting horizontal - Thank YOU !!!!!

I'm not sure where your sun is but it looks like maybe just behind this. Yet you managed to light the pole with your exposure, which is a good thing.
I thought about rotating this to portrait but it may be more interesting this way.
