Thanks for your comments, I have to agree, I have tried several crop, tones filters etc, I just had to stop! I will step back for a while,have another look with fresh eyes in the next few days, and have another go.

Very well seen. I also like the way you cropped it (compared to the original). And the conversion to B/W is appropriate.
May be you can crop even more from the top. I noticed the one white tile at the top is a bit distractive.

You may be right, it was a poor image to start with, and I just changed it a little with photoshop (maybe a little too much) its looks better small, donīt you think?
Thanks anyway for commenting, I can take the criticisms, so keep them coming, it can only improve things.

I have included the original, as you can see it needed something to lift it a little, as it was taken in a hurry, as I was concerned that the girl would move soon.Please feel free to do any changes if you wish.

great portrait, great placement...I like the effect a lot however that is surely great photo ALSO without it... the placement is fantastic for the children and gives lots of thoughs to the watchers something very importante for a photo. hmmmm.....perchaps I could try to put all he 4 children into the frame...not to cut the last one with the frame but still the photo really amaze me. Very good result James!
