About About half an hour before the sun rises behind the trees. This and the two previous images differ only a bit in the amount of underexposure and composition. I would glad to know which one of the three you find best.

Thanks a lot for the info and the explanation, Andre! Now I am going to search for the negative - and if I find the same fault, then I'll pay a nice visit to my developer for a loooong nice conversation!!! ;-)

Have a nice weekend.

Hi Nick,
I used to get some strange, uneven streaks when developing my own B&W film, every now and then. I put it down to not cleaning the film thoroughly enough. Maybe it is a fault in the film. When you look at the negative of the frame before and after this one, does there appear to be any fault in the same area? If so, it is probably the film or the developer's fault.

Or we should pay attention to those own flaws, which happens rather seldom in some places like UF ;-)

Thanks heavens there are also many peoplelike you that do wonder about the own flaws *before* someone else notices. You know, most of the time it goes "oh yes, *but* the wind was too strong, the bird s h i t t e d on my lens, and I ate something wrong. ;-)) And that "but" makes me &%*£!) nuts!!!

OK, enough poison for today. >:-D

But seriously, what can that dark band be? A film problem? I was out in the open air and there was no single obstacle around. :-/

Best wishes,

Nick

Nick,
Now that you mention the dark band, it does distract a bit. I didn't notice it so much until you mentioned it. We always pay attention to our own little flaws more than anyone else.

Thank you very much for the nice and detailed comment, Mahassa! This one seems to be the one that most other people also prefer. So I have a nice answer to my problem with these three similar images.

All the best,

Nick

I find this one the best dear Nick, because of the nice color tones in the cloud. and I should say that I prefer the composition too. the contrast is great...
good luck with your efforts, mahassa

Yes, Andre, but that darker band at the left.. what could that be? And doesn't it detract as well?

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, and have a nice day. (Though Monday!!! ;-))

Thanks a lot, Clint! It has that bar of darker hues at the left edge, which I find a strange minus. But perhaps it is not as disrupting.

Cheers,

Nick

Nick,
I think this one works the best for me.
The trees are more sillhouetted with less detail, but that doesn't detract from the image.
