About The few seconds just before a storm may be even more impressive somethimes than the storm itself. I tried here to catch that dark atmosphere that makes one wanting to go home before thes troms starts. I think that the big difference between the darkness in the city and the light on the clouds makes the latter look electric-like giving emphasis to the loaded air.

Any comment would be very welcome.

No, I don't think PS corrections would do that, and I agree that the best way would be retrying in a suitable occasion. :)
take care, mahassa

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment, Mahassa. Perhaps a bit more exposure would have turned the lower part, the city, brighter. But would it then be in such a contrast to the clouds? I can't say - I have to retry that.

BTW, I don't take PS corrections of dark parts for a good idea, since there can be no enhancement of details if there are no details at all. (Multiplying any arbitrary number with 0 is still 0, so to speak.) So, the only way to test your idea would be to retry that. But I'll have to wait for similar clouds over the city.

Thanks again and best wishes,

Nick

Thanks a lot, Andre! Nice to know that it doesn't only look like loaded *thin* air ;-)

Nice composition and beautiful shot! The cloudy sky adds to a moody feel to the landscape.

I like the dark atmosphere, though I prefer the lower part only a little bit brighter, any way it's a fine shot Nick,
best, mahassa

Very nice Nick!
I really like that dark heavy look to the atmosphere. As you say "loaded air".
