Thank you so much for your kind reply. I found Karl Jaspers' writings on Miroku Bosatsu.
I very much like his words and he is perfectly right about the comparison he makes. Not only in terms of an artistic approach, but also the philosophy behind it that leads to creating such a pure and peaceful representation of man.
J.Chirac was lucky to visit this temple and the Bosatsu. Thanks to your photograph and words, I learned a lot. I appreciate that very much. Best regards, Minoo

Minoo, thanks good intention on the hands, the name of german philosopher is KAHL,Jaspers(1883-1969), he visited Kyoto Koryuji temple, yes Miroku Bosatu is there, Jaspers visited there and wrote there about the feeling of this Bosatu comparing with the Greece statues. And recently french president J.Chirac visited this temple and he met this Bosatsu there and stayed 30 minutes with face to face with it with a little tears on his eye, beeing reluctant to part at he place I heard,of course I visit there often. Thanks.

Thanks ever so much for explaining this to me. If I understand correctly, your picture is the duplication of Buddha's left hand (once the palm and once the back of his hand)? Quite a treasure for this website, your photographs are.
I would have really loved to read that German philosopher's sentence about Miroku Bodhisattva. Could I kindly ask you to please give me the name of the philosopher or the reference of this statue? Is this statue in Kyoto or elsewhere (Miroku Bosatsu, 7th Century)?
With many thanks and best regards, Minoo

Exquisite beauty! I always feel at awe and inadequate what concerns the symbolic meanings of your masterly photographs. I particularly like the meaning of this image, as I read generosity and gentleness in it (please correct me if I am wrong). With best regards, Minoo
