About Infrared photography is also suitable for plants, if taken in a particular way: against a blue sky, which turns black in infrared ..
This plant was over 2m high, so getting under it was no problem.. but finding the right background (sky), good composition and exposure proofed much more difficult .. this was the best shot of some 20 tries .. hope you like it !

Well done, Peter! You managed a good arrangement to get the DOF to work so well!

A very unusual and creative shot, Peter. I do like it. It shows you think outside the box, something I wish I did more often.:)

Hi Haluk,
The filter is an infrared filter, built into the camera (and working the same way as a filter you screw on a lens)

Regards, Peter

Very nice.
Thanks for the useful information. Could I please ask you which filter was used?
Kind regards

Beautiful infra capture! Had i not read the about I would have thought it was a macro shot. The blue sky would really turn dark on infrared photo, nice angle. I wish there was another element on the photo for scaling the size, i think it would be good to see what it really is.
but very good graphic as it is...
regards..

Hi Txules,

Not you were bad, but the Canon + Hoya IR filter, because you need long exposure times .. i had the IR blocking filter (before the CCD inside the camera) replaced by an IR filter, and this permits me to make IR photos almost like a make normal colour shot, with similar shutterspeeds and apertures .. and this is for me the big fun now!!!

actually i love it, i had a canon 350 and tried some infrarred with a Hoya filter and results were awful, i thought that Canon reflex cameras were bad for IR, but looking at your pictures the "bad" was me :(
