About One of my very first shots trying to get into simplicity. I'd be glad to read any comments.

Oh, come on now, Aniko, just a small tiny little argument for the next couple of centuries? ;-)

Thanks a lot,

Nick

Oh well, poetry is a very hard category as the boundary line between poetry and kitsch can be thinner than a razor's edge. I have to think very carefully before posting something for that project.

Cheers,

Nick

maybe next time you post a poetic one,
you place it in poetry project dear Nick, ;)
all the best to you, mahassa

Oops, "Poetry" is not a category, as I realize now, but a project. So there can be only one project where I put the image into. Hmmm, poetry or abstract, that's the question.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment and the idea for a category, Mahassa! I put it also in "Poetry" right now!

I find also simplicity quite often very very good.

Ciao,

Nick

Nick, such a nice title for this very
nice and delicate shot,
you could have placed it in poetry project too,
a very nice simple composition,
I ususally prefer simplicity in art,
best, mahassa
PS: I like your crop better,

Thanks a lot for the nice and so detailed comment and the idea for making it better, Sandip!

Actually, if you mean wider angle lens, a wider angle would only take more of the scene on the image making thus both the window and the grass look smaller and thus perhaos even more tightly bound. For a better separation of the two I should go some steps to the left and turn the camera to the right. I am also convinced that a bit more distance between them would be an advantage.

Thanks a lot for making it clear to me!

Simple and beautiful ... nice shot Nick. I love the composition. Only a bit of space between the flower/grass and the window .. a bit wider lens may be ... everything else is perfect in my point of view ... and yes the title is a fitting one ...

Best Regards,

-sandip

Thanks a lot Andre! I am quite enthusiastic about the fact that many people consider the title to be so fitting, since I was really wondering of that title would be directly "visible" from the content of the image.

And yes, the white space was something that I though would enhance the simplicity of the composition. So I am onyl glad that you like it too.

Have a nice day,

Nick

Bella composizione minimale. Forse dovevi cercare di isolare i due elementi.

A good idea Nick!
A fitting title due to the point of view. I like the soft look of the colours in the window. I think all the white space of the wall works well in this composition.
Simple is very good most times.
