LoL! Now Dave . . . You know flaming farts are blue! Stop teasin' or I'm tellin' Mom! LMAO!
Actually . . . a quick perusal of the comments would have revealed this is nothing more than a safe and sane fourth of July firework fountain that fell over on the pavement. The seeming swan head is the paper peeling back from the flames. :)

Very cool shot, Bro. But what the heck is it? I thought maybe something from Universal again but I don't see it in the LA County Tourist Attractions portfolio.... You're not lighting farts again, are you? You know what mom said about that.

Oh shhh..., you burned the swan, you unscrupulous person? ;-)
The simplicity of shape in those very contrasting colors is indeed very interesting! The fire looks like some kind of intruder into an otherwise very calm blueish environment. And so my mind jumps right to the contrast between calmness and business, being supported by the contrast of the colors themselves.
So, Doyle, did you say some time agon that you are not very much into abstract photography? Hmmm, perhaps you should reconsider that? ;-)
Best wishes,
Nick

LoL! Oh, Robin! No time to ponder, eh? Fireworks fountain having toppled over . . . peeling back on the right . . . Rear Curtain flash TTL-BL . . . but, and herein lies the difference . . . the pavement around it that had been reflecting the combustion has been given an added blue tint so I could accentuate the swan appearance I saw by making it look like it had been on water instead. Apparently setting actual swans on fire is baaaad . . . not to mention illegal.
But . . . what the hay . . . if YOU like it . . . Mission accomplished!
