in a word: captivating. i have often used the selective coloring technique, especially on eyes, and you have done it very well here. i love the high contrast from the blown highlights, though i know some people frown on that. i am most impressed with the composition, with your eyes at an angle. it somehow gives more depth to the photo, although there is depth enough in your eyes already! great shot.

A creative image Ashley. I also like the partial desaturation leaving the eyes in colour. I have taken a similar photo of my daughter (in my portfolio) and did the same - the eye colour comes out stronger this way. I do think that the eye on the left that is slightly too soft detract from the impact, while both the eyes are too close to the borders. I would try and crop out the eye on the left and concentrate on the sharp one or re-take the photo and leave a bit more space on the sides. Nonetheless a great image!
