yeap, coast of Heraklion, or Iraklion, no matter, the result is same the "h" letter at the frond cames from the very old greeks, when we have...loooot of spots around a word we write and if a word has a specific spot at its first letter that word takes that H in english....believe me, I don't know why that happen but also Iraklio is the same!
Hope you had great time... even I understand you about that photo, I bet when you was to my place there wasn't that bad weather hahaha...not many times that but actualy I'm enjoying to see these big waves, always gives great photos and so I love bad weather!
Well I also envy a lot of places in the world, each has something very special, I envy your place too...for excample I cannot find hummerbirds ....agrrrrrrr..... :-D

Hello John, I love this picture is this in Iraklion? Please excuse me if I have the wrong spelling I know there are two versions. I found your work through your comment today on my trees. It's kind of funny actually because I have had Greece on my mind for a couple of weeks. I spent my honeymoon in
Thira, Crete & Heraklion :) 7 years ago and the effect of Greece and it's people have never left me. I envy your location, keep taking pictures please.

The sea looks menacing...the foreground objects give a sense of depth...in this case B&W looks wonderful too. That fort is there, I see (what's the name of this fort?). Even without colour, I can feel the sense of bad weather...! Very interesting composition John...keep it up.
