Roger -- The camera shown is a Canon 20D and the lens is a Canon 100-400mm F4/5 IS USM. A sample of results can be seen at http://www.usefilm.com/image/1201874.html . Joel shoots mostly film but for digital this is still his mainstay. I have seen results that are most impressive but keep in mind that he has had the Canon gear for some time and this would not necessarily be his pick if he were shopping today. I am not familiar with the 28-300 but if it does not have IS don't get it. Now that I have a stabilizer I realize that it is indispensable. If I were shopping today the 5D would be my choice. If money is no object remember that the "L" series of Canon lenses is the premium/best glass they have to offer. Joel has several "L" series and they are very impressive. Good luck hunting for the right choice. --Best to you, Jan

Onie -- Had to laugh at your opening comment -- enough said! As for the warped comment: bravo and LOL^2. Joel spent six or seven months in Australia a few years ago (2002 or 2003 cannot recall) working with P.J. Hogan on a movie production of Peter Pan. He loved the Gold Coast and had a little time to travel about the country on a motorcycle. --Best to you, Jan

LOL Jan... I can't help but put Canon, shoot and foot in the wrong text... ~~GRIN~~ I sure hope Joel is a bad shot and could walk OK after, but looking at the size of the barrel he wouldn't have a leg to stand on... I know, I'm warped %-}...
Love the selective colouring, and ~~GRIN~~ is that AUSTRALIA I see on Joels T-shirt??? ...
The continuity in design of filoli, from roof top to beautiful floor, is wonderful Jan...:)
