i echo the first post, i thought there was a sense of motion in the photo as well. interesting. hard for me to tell what time of day you took this photo, cant see enough of that shadow on the left (looks like a shadown) to know. But I suspect Greeks like to take time off in early afternoon, which would explain everything boarded up like this. well done john ~ James

Amazing POV John! Beautiful PP job too! The ye is naturally pulled into the photo and very interesting perspective with to the closed shutters. Deep shot. As if I am standing in your position. The shadow of the man adds very interesting touch to this perfectly exposed shot. Wonderful my friend... 7/7 of course

thanks a lot Dave for your so kind comment...hmmmm....with what program??? I use the Corel Photo Paint, the first job you must do is at the adjastments, the first choise there, sorry, I don't remember the name, I don't have the program right now BUT that need some moments, especialy at big photos, 6mp +. After that you will have lot of grain, just I paint these areas with the smert and blent tools using my mouse OR a mask on the areas that I want, need some time but that is not difficult and surely it's fun! ahhh yes...I forget to say that some times I change the sky...like here...collage work or I use the clone tool on masks from another photo...

thanks a lot Fabrice for your great comment! I agree, it is very difficult to take a clear shot...even here I could erase that shadow, a great moment to take shots from clear streets is at places with lot of turists and night life....at the very early morning, about 8:00 so everybody ......sleeps hahaha....that was my time there...

There you go again, John, with the Photo Paint. Every time I see this style of post-processing, I go nuts and try and emulate it.... and I just can't. Last time I tried, I ended up looking like the building belonged on a dollar bill.
Great work!! Dave

This is a really nice capture you've made here John. I like the perspective, but what I prefer is the work you've done with Corel. The result is stunning.. This gives rise to a particular atmosphere.. Just one small regret : the shadow of the man on the left ;).. There is always something or somebody that one don't want when we take time to capture a scene..grrr. Anyway this is a beauticul composition. Congrats

what to say about this excellent photograph...it is wonderful because even though the street is emplty there is this feeling of motion, strange but true.It may be the colors, it may be the perspective, it is wonderful !Not to mention the lonely shadow of a person, very nice detail,my 7+++:)
