I was (and still am) trying to make some images like those where anything is B&W expect for some main object only with camera/lens. This is one of them, and I don't really know inhowmuch it was a success. Surely, there is only one object that carries some more intense hues, but I am not quite satisfied, and so I would be glad to read some suggestions to make it better. It has many problems, but what are the most important? Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for the nice, detailed comment, Ahmed! Indeed the crop of the sky was necessary. This leads me to the conclusion that I should turn the camera more downwards at shooting time, as I already told Dave. But your idea goes one step further. I inlude the crop after your idea, which converts the wide angle look to a more close-up-like image that weakens depth and perspective. In general I don't like such images of this kind of scenes but this one is interesting, as the attached crop might show. So, thanslating your idea to settings at shooting time would mean that I should use a longer focal length. still I would prepare to keep the current focal length and turn the camera to the lef. though.
And again your idea was great, Dave. I think too that I should turn the camera to the ground, since that sky really doesn't add anything as the cropped image tells me. Thanks a lot for the idea!
Nice idea! The color of those trees are so beautiful!! I agree with Dave about cropping out the sky as its a bit pale. And I also think cropping about half of the building on the right will make the composition better. Regards, Ahmed
